A Day of Dance Instruction and an Evening of Social Dancing
Summer Greetings Dancers. We’ve added Tango! The fabulous Shiwa Noh will be joining us on Saturday, July 29th at 12:30 to offer an intensive Tango workshop (see workshop schedule below). This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to spend an entire afternoon and evening focusing on a wide variety of dance styles and techniques with some of Maine’s finest dance instructors. We hope you can join us on beautiful Mount Desert Island for a day of dance. Opportunities for outdoor activities on MDI abound, and the Oceanside “Blue Horizons Trail” is located just down the road from the Artwaves studio. For more information, please call 244-5286.
Location: The new Artwaves Dance Space, Rt. 102 Town Hill, Mount Desert Island (next to the Town Hill Market).
Workshops, 12:30pm-6:30pm. (Each workshop is 1 ½ hours)
West Coast Swing 2pm,
Salsa 3:30pm, Night Club 5pm
Social Dance Party, 7-10pm –a great selection of music to move and groove to!
Cost: $30 for all workshops and dance. $8 per individual session or dance.

Shiwa Noh is Director of the Noh Way School in Bangor since 2013. Originally from South Korea, Shiwa recieved BFA in Dance Choreography from University of California. Since Argentine Tango came into her life in 2001, she has been to Buenos Aires, Argentina several times to be totally involved in further growth of her Tango. She has performed at the Hollywood Bowl, Orange County Performing Center(CA), TownHall (NYC), even in the homeland of Argentina for Honoring Master Tango teachers.
Katie Tranzilloresides in midcoast Maine where she runs Joyfuldancing.Katie is an independent dance instructor who has led programs in partnered, individual and group dances for children, teens, adults, and people with disabilities. She is spreading the joy of dance across Maine and building a strong dance community!
Misha Vargasis from Puerto Rico, danced professionally with the Rompecabeza Dance Company and has danced in Salsa conferences in New York, Dallas, Puerto Rico, Tampa, and Miami. Misha’s Salsa dancing burns up the floor!
David Lamonis a dancer, choreographer and teacher with a wide variety dance styles in his background. From traditional modern and classical styles to improvisation and social dance forms, David loves dancing it all.
