Roberta Sprague was born and raised in a quiet suburb of New York City and moved to Maine shortly after receiving her BFA from Syracuse University School of Art in 1970. She became interested in special needs children while sharing art with them, and, as a result, has worked with children with communication disorders for many years. At the same time, Roberta has continued to make and sell her own art. She currently has work available in Maine at Chapter Two in Corea, Star Gallery in Northeast Harbor, and in Spruce & Gussy in Bar Harbor. Roberta also has work on display at the Davistown Museum. She and her husband live on Mount Desert Island.
